Doubled referral credits through September 30
After the recent Coldcard security news, a lot of people have been asking their more security-conscious friends and family for advice. If you've already got a solid setup, this is a good moment to help someone you care about get there too, whether that's sending them your referral code or sitting down and walking them through it yourself.
From August 31 through September 30, your referral credits are doubled for everyone you refer to Casa.
The amounts
The amount of referral credits you receive depends on the plan your referral joins, not the plan you're on.
If someone you refer joins as a Premium Casa member during this window, you get $200 once their first payment clears and 60 days pass.
What your referrals receive
Whoever you refer receives a 3-month subscription discount. They'll need to sign up through web checkout for it to apply, not through Apple or Google's in-app billing.
How credits land
Credits land 60 days after your referral's first payment. The annual credit cap still applies, so check your account if you're a frequent referrer to see where things stand.
Finding and sharing your code
Your referral code lives in Settings in the Casa app. Open Settings and tap the banner at the top to get to your code.
Terms
From August 31st 10am EST through September 30th 10am EST, referral credits are doubled to $50 for a Standard referral, $200 for Premium, and $500 for Private Client. The annual referral credit limit of $599 per member is unchanged and is not doubled; credits earned during this period count toward that limit. Referral credits are issued only for signups completed through web checkout and that are not refunded 30 days after September 30th. FAQ’s
Do I need to do anything else besides share my code? No. Once your referral joins using your code and their first payment clears, the credit lands automatically 60 days later. Nothing else to submit or claim.
Is the doubled credit the same thing as my referral's discount? No, they're separate. You earn a credit to your account, and your referral gets a 3-month subscription discount on their own plan. One doesn't come out of the other.
What if my referral joins right before the window closes? Still counts. As long as they sign up before September 30, you get the doubled amount even if the 60-day credit lands in October.
Can I refer more than one person? Yes, there's no limit on referrals. Each one pays out the amount above. The standing annual credit cap still applies to how much lands in your account in a year total.
Does a referral count if my referral already has a free trial or an existing account? It counts as long as they start their trial using your code. If they already started a trial or checkout without it, or already had a paid membership, the referral won't apply. Their first paid membership is what triggers your credit.
If my referral joins one tier and upgrades later, does my credit change? No, it's locked to whatever plan completes their first payment. If they join Standard and upgrade to Premium later, your credit stays at the Standard amount.
